Park City Chess (PCC) is an educational organization whose purpose is to promote and educate the public about the game, art, science, sport and discipline of chess.
As a organization PCC will further advance chess in Bridgeport, and to the benefit
of Connecticut's chess community.
As part of its role as a city organization, Park City Chess has
goals in place to support the existing chess community as well as
promote chess among schools and the general public. Highlights of
these goals are:
- Increase the popularity and the level of chess activity in
Bridgeport
- Promote community involvement
- Represent Bridgeport in chess tournaments and other chess
related activities
- Establish a yearly tournament in Bridgeport
- Maintain a chess presence and public interest among the community
We hope to fulfill these goals through the auspices of the City
of Bridgeport and support of everyone who deems chess to be a
wonderful intellectual sport.
